Our last class in 2024 was the grand finale grading - in which our revered founder, Jon sensei, returned to officiate the grading. Bruce (centre) joined the Dee Why dojo about this time last year. Fantastic achievement in grading to 8th kyu last week. A special grading for Bruce as couldn't attend the main grading this week. Our entire dojo has been inspired by Bruce's karate journey - how many people are bold enough to start their martial arts career well into their retirement? But, Bruce has always been exceptional - that's another story!
